Chloe Henderson

Hi, I’m Chloe - the founder of DefineToLimit Tutoring & Mentoring. The inspiration behind the name comes from a note my English teacher gave me when I was about to leave high school which had the quote, 'To define is to limit,' as the title – this is something that has resonated with me deeply as I've grown older. Even though my overarching career aspirations lie outside of education, it has been and always will be a dominant passion of mine. I've had significant success in my own academic journey, achieving 7A*s an A and 2 B’s at GCSE, A*AAA at A level, achieved a BSc in Biological Sciences, and an MSc with Distinction - both from Lancaster University (a top 10 university). After teaching abroad and working in education for a while post-university, I fell in love with passing on my knowledge to others and hopefully the birth of this tutoring adventure will allow me to exercise this passion further - all whilst contributing a bit of good in the world. From going to a school that, at the time, required special measures and being a first-generation university student, I have realised and experienced the importance of education as an empowerment and social mobility tool. Following on from my work for the Lancaster Branch of the 93% Club Lancaster, I want to continue to do my part to leverage this force by providing high quality tutoring and help those from similar backgrounds to achieve beyond what they thought possible. Oh! In my spare time I play to a high standard of football, I run/gym a lot and love to read (book recommendation: Before the coffee gets cold!)
